Happy Earth Day! Earth Day has been around for quite some time, and some of the philosophies behind it can easily be applied to your home. In fact, you may already be doing them! It makes sense that investing in your home can also be investing in our planet. And, investing in our planet is the theme for this year’s Earth Day. We are so happy to be able to live in such a wonderful place like the Willamette Valley. What are some ways that you leave a lighter footprint on the Earth?

You may not even realize having energy efficient light bulbs is one way to live sustainably. This not only helps conserve energy, but also may save you some cash on energy bills. You may also think about home insulation. If you’re home is like a sealed-envelope, then that means heating or cooling is seeping out of your house. This also is a great way to save on energy bills as well. Plus, updating the insulation in your home more appealing to buyers if you’re thinking about selling. There are some other ways to invest in your home that may also add value to it. It could be in the form of renewable energy such as solar panels.
