It’s October, and that means prime time for pumpkin patch season! Oregon is perfect for growing so many things, and that includes this popular gourd…or squash. Fun fact is that depending on the type of pumpkin you have, it could be either. So, whether you’re ordering a latte with a little pumpkin to spice it up, or looking up your grandma’s famous pumpkin pie recipe in time for All Hallows’ Eve, there is much use for this delectable item. At BST Realty LLC, we love supporting local, so here are a few places you may visit that have pumpkins and more!
Of course and oldie but goodie to start with is Bauman’s Harvest Festival. For the kiddos there are jumping pillows and an actual “Kid Zone,” as well as “Little Tykes Zone,” for the little ones. You can take your shot with the apple canon. There is also a rope maze and a petting zoo! For adults, there is also the Bauman Cidery Tour to wet your whistle. The list goes on, especially with the pumpkins to choose from. Willamette Valley Melons Company also is having a Fall Festival that includes a farm maze, educational farm tour, and much more.
Fordyce Farm is another great place to stop by for pumpkins, a corn maze, and perhaps your favorite tasty treat. Then, there is Heiser Farms that has a pumpkin patch as well as music and pumpkin canons on certain days. Mustard Seed Farms, The Historic Kirchem Farm, and Vince Woods Farms are more options for your pumpkin picking needs! And, don't forget about all the great farm stands out there like the Red Wagon Farm.
If you’re looking to order pumpkins, then Autumn Harvest Pumpkins is the ticket. They also have videos on their website that talk about pumpkin decorations to telling the difference between types of pumpkins.
